Bodegas Fabre reports exceptional vintage from Mendoza

Award-winning Argentine producer Bodegas Fabre reports excellent conditions for the 2019 vintage in Mendoza.  With vineyard sites in both the Uco Valley and the more premium Lujan de Cuyo areas, Head Winemaker and owner Herve J.Fabre was able to achieve excellent levels of maturity.

The exceptional weather conditions of the 2019 vintage meant that Fabre was able to harvest in both Lujan de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco at the same time which isn’t normally the case.

Bodegas Fabre which produces the Viñalba range of wines, reports that varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional which have a longer ripening cycle fared particularly well.

Elsewhere, Fabre was able to harvest the Malbecs at the peak of their maturity with greats levels of sugar and an excellent level of acidity.

Herve J Fabre, who recently won 2018 IWC Red Winemaker of the year, comments: ‘This year we benefited from a very good climate throughout the harvest without any rain and with relatively mild temperatures. This enabled us to have an extended harvest from the last week of February until the end of April. I’m very pleased with the result.’
